Dynamic Dog Club R.E.A.Der Teams
The Dynamic Dog Club Literacy program is an affiliate program of the national R.E.A.D. program in Salt Lake City, Utah. As an affiliate program it is known as R.E.A.Ders.
Teams must have fulfilled the requirements for registration and certification with Alliance of Therapy Dogs located in Cheyenne, Wyoming prior to becoming a R.E.A.D. team.
These teams assist area teachers with their literacy programs. The handler and dog work with selected children to assist with motivation and improving the reading experience.
These dogs are not judgmental and have a very positive effect on the reading experience. The dog helps the young reader while the handler is there to assist and offer encouragement.
R.E.A.D. Therapy Teams are very much in demand by the schools and do require applying directly to the school as volunteers after being certified as a R.E.A.D. team.
The teams also participate in other activities such as charity walks, parades, Camp Villages and special events throughout the year.
As an outreach to schools participating in the R.E.A.Der Program, Dynamic Dog Club has established a yearly award to teachers to purchase motivational materials for our young readers.

Home Study Groups meet once each semester. However, additional times may be arranged if there is a conflict.
